Networking
Summary
Networking Research Group at the University of North Texas hasan extensive collaborative reserach program with the Computer Science and Engineering Department. Faculty of the group, Dr.Guturu and Dr.Xinrong Li are currently working as co-investigators in two of the NSF projects in the networking and the wireless sensor networks areas.
Facilities
In the Department of Electrical Engineering we have MATLAB, LABVIEW simulation software facilities for newroking simulations. With the help of NSF funded collaborative (with CSE) CRI and MRI projects, facilities for Voice over IP(VoIP) communication with multiple universities including Columbia, Texas A&M, have been built in the CSE department.
Recent and ongoing work:
- Collaborative Research: CRI: IAD: A Testbed for Research and Development of Next Generation 9-1-1 Services
- MRI: Development of a Flexible Instrument and Tools for Experimental Research in Next-Generation 9-1-1 Services
- CRI: IAD Infrastructure for Environmental Monitoring and Modeling using Large-Scale Sensor Networks
- CI-TEAM Demonstration Project: Engaging Local Governments, Teachers and Students in CI for Environmental Monitoring and Modeling
