Welcome to Hualiang Zhang's Home Page
Hualiang (Bruce) Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Enginnering Department, University of North Texas (UNT). Before he came to UNT, he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA.
Currently Dr. Zhang's research interests are in: 1. RF / microwave circuits designs including designs of compact, tunable, and reconfigurable filters; synthesis of advanced canonical filter networks; designs of dual-band passive microwave components 2. metamaterials with near-zero / negative refraction index and their applications 3. antenna designs such as reconfigurable UWB antenna, electrically small antenna, and conformal antenna 4. RF / microwave characterizations of advanced materials 5. electromagnetic cloakings 6. RF MEMS passive structures (designs, fabrications, and characterizations) 7. optimization methods especially their applications to RF / microwave circuit designs
NOTE: I am looking for highly self-motivated students to join my group (both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply)!!!
